P0745 code OD light flashes
I have a 2004 Aviator with a 5r55S transmission.
O/D light started flashing, difficult to shift gears, MIL came on with P0745 code
I have changed the filter, installed new solenoid block, adjusted bands, topped off fluid with Mercon V. No change in symptoms.
Any ideas ?

That code is defined as "PCA solenoid defective" and is slightly less generically defined in the service manual as meaning, "Mechanical failure of the solenoid detected." The troubleshooting steps start by suggesting you confirm first that the electrical connector is firmly seated. The next steps involve installing a pressure gauge to check for line pressures after commanding specific pressures using the scan tool, then doing further electrical checks using the scan tool and a multimeter.
