I just had the EGR valve replaced and the truck ran great for about a week, now I have a new code showing up (po402). I looked it up and shows that it is an excessive flow issue. I was quoted $190 for the back pressure sensor and $46 for the installation. I just wanted to check and see if this is likely to be problem and if the price is fair. I tried searching the forums for a similar situation to mine, but I did not find one (please forgive me if this is a repost, I did try to search it first).
My truck is '04 F350 6.0 and is totally stock (not even a K&N)
The $46 sounds like either a half hour or a hour depending on rates. More than likely it is the minimum charge. The price of the sensor seems a little high. Depending on which exhaust sensor they are talking about they run from $50 to $230 depending on if you have a late or early model 2004. But the MSRP on EGR pressure Feedback sensor is $107.69 as per
I borrowed a MAC Mentor from a friend, so I am not sure if it will be able to do it ( i know it will read the codes). I think it is an early '04 because it was purchased in January of 2004.
