On my 2002 Mountaineer 4.6L AWD mY Check Engine Light came on, so I ran an OBDII scan. There was one code set for Low EGR Differntial Pressure. I reset the code, but I have replaced that sensor a while back for the same reason.
Is there a reason other than a bad sensor for that code to be set?
Is there some carbon buildup somewhere that causes low EGR Differential Pressure. Or is it some kind of leak that causes it?
Where did you get your new DPFE sensor from when you replaced it? I replaced the one on my '02 4.6l a while back with a new Motorcraft part that is about 50% bigger than the original one. Of course bigger doesn't mean anything, but I have read that the aftermarket DPFEs don't last.

It's definitly an aftermarket unit.
I would be willing to put a resistor network in place of the sensor to keep it from throwing codes. Any ideas about what the sensor's parameters are?
