Only a Ford can....
I am going to start off this frustration or boasting chat with a head scratcher...
Only a Ford can rust out the nut and have a perfectly fine stud.

On my 04' all the studs were stainless and the nuts looked like some kind of powdered steel alloy. Usually the studs snap before the nuts fail.
I put headers on mine when it had around 20k miles on it to try and avoid the stud related issues.

That was a very smart idea on your behalf.

Wish I can afford it. Stud is bent slightly. They looked like they were replaced last year.

My passenger side had 3 broken studs and was leaking. I had my mechanic buddy fix me up for a good price. All 8 studs on my driver side are good and no leaks.... yet. 207,200 miles on the clock

I find the cost funny... Advance wants. 400 for an OEM manifold. I can buy Hedman Headers with the down pipe for 400 from summit. Key is how much of a pia it will be removing the OEM studs

You can buy aftermarket manifolds cheaper than $400. The OEM manifolds for the V10 are some kind of stainless. Still have my old manifolds in a drawer.

That is the truth. My wife's expedition was driving me crazy along with my dad's v-10. Thankfully they are both fixed now.
