Tricky triangle install?

What is the best way to install the hard rubber piece in the frame side bracket of the rear cab mount? I cannot get the dog bone holes to line up with the rubber in place. I have to be missing somethng?

After getting one side in, I used a small floor jack on the second side, pushing it in place enough to get the bolt through. If you run a search you should be able to find more talk about it, there has been a lot of discussion here.

You do not need to start a second or more new thread to ask the same question.

if you're talking 53-56, someone posted the best way I've seen... It's almost impossible to hold the little rubber "C" in place with one hand... hold the cab arm in place with the other hand... fiddle with the jack with the other hand... and stick the bolt thru with the other hand.. what ? you ran out of hands ???

here's the secret... remove the rear cab mount from the frame... putl the rubber pad, the dogbone and the bracket all together on the bench... (with just two hands !!!) then hang it from the cab mount then fiddle with the jack till the holes in the frame mount line up and put the bolts in... repeat on the other side... much easier... and thanks to whoever came up with this whom I can't remember to name... Bob maybe ???

later

Wish I had seen this a couple days ago. Got mine installed this past weekend.

Any body know what the short pieces of tubing in the kit were for???

About 3/4" in diameter and about an inch long.

Coudn't find a place for them on my 1950 F-3

Too big to go inside the bushings. My "Dogbones" came with bushings installed.
