You did not provide the year or model - so I will give you the specs from my 1982 Ford F100 - F350 Series Owners manual.
  • Engine Oil -- 6 US Quarts (5.6 Liters). This includes the amount the oil filter holds.
  • Oil type -- 10W40 or 10W30 or 20W40 or 30W. It depends on your location (tempertures). 10W40 is most common in US.
  • Transmission (C6) 4X4 -- 26.8 pints (12.7 Liters).
  • Transfer Case (Warner 1345) -- 6.5 pints (3.0 Liters).
  • Transfer case (NP 208) -- 7.0 pints (3.3 Liters).
  • Transmission (C6) and Transfer Case -- DEXRON II type oil.

CB - I wish I could rep you! That was a great post, above and beyond. Maybe some of the "big boys" will rep you and you'll get more than if I'd done it.

Pacecar - Rep's are "reputation" and are thanks and rewards for helping someone. The more rep's you have the more are given when you rep someone. And, you give rep's by clicking the heart-shaped icon to the upper right of a person's post. You can rep CB, which I would suggest you do, but as a newbie it won't give him much.

Thanks, KBJ. I'd rep you but I can't. Guess I'm too stingy.

That is ok. It is the thought that counts.

Thanks for the thought Gary. I don't know what reps are and I don't care if I get them or not. I'm just here to learn and share what I can. No reward is necessary. I enjoy this forum.
