I'm sure this has probably been beat to death, but what are people's thoughts on a TruCool vs a cheaper option for an additional transmission cooler. It is going in a 2003 F250 with a 7.3. Here are the two options I'm looking at:
The only concern I might have with the cheap one is that it may not have a thermal bypass.
The concern I have with the cheap one (the Hayden) is that is a tube and fin, not a stacked plate. It won't cool as well as your stock cooler, but it will add restriction to the cooler circuit. Two losses with one cooler!
The 6.0L cooler is far better than any shown above.
