I took the X to Sears for an alignment recently and they said they couldn't finish the job that day because it needed the camber/caster sleeve replaced and, since it was Sunday, they couldn't get one while I was waiting.
Sears said they could replace the sleeve for around $100. I am already planning on replacing the ball joints once I finish rounding up some more tools. I wouldn't mind replacing the sleeve myself while I have the knuckle open, but it seems there are multiple angles available and I'm not sure which one I would need to get. Is it worth it to let them do it to make sure the alignment is correct, or can I figure out which part I need from the report they gave me and save myself a little money by changing it myself?
