alignment issue
so i recently replaced my tie rod ends ( outer ), in my drive and today i went down to get me an alignment. well they were able to do the toe in/out, but they said they were unable to adjust the camber. okay so im not surprised as i knew the stock set up wasn't adjustable. but heres the thing, the said that my camber is off, by nearly 1 degree.
is anyone surprised by this as I am or is this common.
i have a 94 2wd f150
First problem is it sounds as if you took it to a ****ty place. They make adjustable bushings and several fixed ones as well. Just a matter of changing the camber bushing/s.
Bad or warn ball joints will cause camber issues. Week or oversize front springs will also cause camber issues.
The shop should have been able to explain what your problem was, and if it's just springs they should have fixed the camber. IF this is a chain place go back and complain they did a crap job. However the cost goes up if they have to change camber bushings in most places. The shop up the road here adds like $25 a side for new bushings, install, and if the adjustable .. truing it up.

that being said, the shop told me they can change the bushings to align it properly but they gave me heads up first before tearing into it. which is good because at the time, well i didnt really need to do that just yet.
worn ball joints could be an issue, we did rock the wheel laterally, with no movement, but this doesnt rule out ball joints.
the only way to know is to get in there and look. didnt wanna do that just yet.
there is a chance my springs are tired and saggy
i left some info out, the did explain all this to me, but it would have made my alignment about $160 instead of the standard $40, so i just told them to fix the alignment for now.
this all being said, i suppose my main question was has anybody ever had their camber off without worn parts (ball joints, springs, ect) just sorta came that way?
Yes sagging springs can give you off camber.
That sounds much better. They could fix it but will cost more. That's normal. the bushings can be a Huge PIA at times.
all is stock
i imagine i will save a few pennies and get it aligned properly eventually, but my income/how many miles i drive = not right now
its not my daily driver
but thanks for the input,
i dont know how long its been out of alignment
i got it from my late grandmother who, in her last few years, didnt bother with automotive maintenance, which is understandable. so im just trying to slowly bring it back up
