i've already installed the shocks myself. yes they are longer. about 2 inches longer in the front and about 4 inches longer in the back, but my overall height increase is probably about 1 inch.
nah, i aint gonna get out of tat. lunch is on me. we'll probably do tat next week if u got some time. i really appreciate u taking the time to steer me in the right direction.
lol. preston, which part of h-town are u in? i'm in the western part of h-town. right around the katy/memorial area.
btw, i've also started my new tires on "layaway". my wife got a Cosco membership and she made me go get tires at Cosco. oh well, still better than Sam's Club! i used to be a Sam's Club manager before. i hated it. i feel much better working for Xerox nowadays. lol.
I'm about to go and have a steak at Texas Land and Cattle, just on the inbound feeder of I-10, east of Dairy Ashford. We're very close neighbors as that's where I live, Memorial. Literally off of Tully which runs north and south between Memorial and I-10 just east of Dairy Ashford on the west side of town. Behind Stratford High School, pretty much.
I was thinking I could get those springs and not have to buy new shocks. I just bought and had new shocks installed a month or two ago.
if u want new springs, u can always contact shockwarehouse.com
tats where i got my stuff from. they may be able to fix u up on tat.
wow. omfg! we are that close! i live in a townhome in the kirkwood area. it's next to the nottingham public park. dang. small world. cant believe we're tat close in terms of geographic location.
I live in Memorial Club Townhomes. We're probably about a mile from one another.
I want to lift the front end, level it, but I don't want the front end to be higher than the rear. I've seen that and can't stand that look on a truck.
U might have to call them directly. They're in Florida but great guys. U might wanna speak to Ross Edwards. He's very helpful n u can tell him tat Dominic told u to call him. He helped me expedite my backorder.
There should be springs for 2005 to 2007 super duty.
update: i got my springs on and it was done by a collision center in kuykendahl and fm 1960. the company is Greenfield's Collision Center. great bunch of guys. only wanted $120 for the installation of my front coil springs. would i go back to them in the future? oh yes.
in the meantime, i'm handling most of the stuff myself. now, i can move on to the next project.
I already got the shocks installed myself. All I needed was for someone to put the coil springs on. After driving it this weekend, the car doesn't need an alignment but I'll be doing one anyway to be on the safe side.
I know. I took mine there for them to do an alignment. They charged me 80 bucks. I didn't like how they made my camber come out a bit on the top.
Truck doesn't wobble as much. It's much better. Thanks!
I made a phone call for you to my friends at Parker Performance automotive on the southwest side of town. They do a lot of my work for a very decent price. In fact they lubed my drive shaft and replaced my carrier bearing for a $40 tip, of which we originally agreed upon a $20 tip but they just do such good work I felt like they deserved more. Saved me at least $100 had they written up an actual ticket.. I bought the parts.
We didn't get to the pricing though as it was unclear if a dually would fit on their lift for an alignment, they didn't think so. Sorry but you can call if you'd like and talk to them yourself.
Parker Performance Automotive, S. Gessner @ W. Bellfort off of Sanford.
Ask for Chris or for the owner Ray. Chris is the mechanic who worked on my truck last time and who I spoke with today, Ray wasn't around to ask himself.
Tell 'em you know Preston with the F250, that I sent you.
