ok its been a while since i have visited, been too busy lately to find time to sleep let alone try to help others, but i do reach out for a simple answer hopefully, i just had to remove my transmission out of my 2002 f150 4wd 5spd 4.2l.. slave was factory n finally gave out, repaired quite a few issues while i had it out, but reinstalling it all bolted fine, only issue is the 4wd indicator switch is acting up.. pulled it out (sensor only) and grounded it and it works fine to a extent in my hand.. the ball bearing in the pressure switch is sticking like all high h@$%... for the life of me i cannot find it located on any parts store webpage... the question i want to know is what do part stores consider that part.. for better reference it is located right under the vent hose fitting, right beside the manual 4wd linkage, and is a 2 wire pigtail into it... also is there a trick to putting them in i.e only so far ora certain amount of turns?? any help is appreciated
Go to ford parts on line use your VIN. Check shift relay and fuse, good or blown? All connections good ? Easy to miss one. I'm sure you had the battery disconnected to reset it? And light tap/taps?
Its not a fuse issue... My 4wd drive engages fine... It doesnt disengage because the 4wd indicator switch is malfunctioning... Just trying to see if someone like autozone carries it n if so what they actually call it
