Ok - so the icon basic kit comes with the coils and the cam alignment shims and you purchased the 5100 shocks. Gotcha. Do you see a need now to add the pan/stablizing bar or are you good to go?
Fontana, I have the same lift and it can easily fit 37" tires as long as you don't go crazy wide. The kit says 35" but as you can see in my pictures there is tons of clearance.
What is the benefit of 37" tires? I figure they would look pretty good. Probably a bit tight. I know that members have stated a slight miscalculation on speed 2-3 mph low when using 35". Know what the pros/cons are?
I have not seen 1 picture or mention from any FTE members on 37's.

I haven't really noticed that the steering wheel is off, but I haven't measure things either. I plan on getting the adjustable pan rod bar anyway, for peace of mind.
It was just a chunk of change withe tires, wheels, and leveling kit. Need to take a breather.. .
For those of you who put Bilstein 5100s all the way around - how did that change the ride?
My 350 rides SO much better than my old 2008 f250 but on a bumpy road the back end will jump around a bit. I was curious as to how the 5100s seem to handle this.
I think the Rancho 9000's and the Bilstein 5100's are pretty comparable from the posts around this forum. There are a lot of them already here, you may want to search around a bit. Here is one of the more popular ones that can be found be clicking here.
For me, my shocks were shot, so any shock was going to be an improvement. The ride improved and the truck became responsive.
I bought an ebay 2" leveling kit for $20 and put it on. Same thing as other kits for 100~200+ dollars, this is the kit that moves up the bottom of the spring perch 2". The hardware that they sent me was too short, but I was able to buy the correct length bolts from ace hardware and ebay seller reimbursed me the cost of the hardware.
I already had bilstein shocks rated for 0 to 2" lift. The big money is in the shocks and of course the trackbar, which i'm still getting all the tools to install. Have fun, but if you do it right that 2" level kit is gonna cost at least 500 to do.
Thanks a bunch everyone. Still kinda leaning toward the Bilstein bts system that includes the front 5100 shocks or either the icon basic lift and buying the 5100s. Seems like the wish list gets longer and longer with these trucks.

I had my stock Rancho shocks on for about a month. I changed to 5100's and the difference was huge. Very different ride. Even my friend who helped me with the shocks commented on the quality difference. I needed no assurance that I made the right choice but there it was.
my996, I checked out the bilstein kit and it looks pretty neat. I'd eventually like to put bilsteins all the way around so it makes since to buy a kit with 2 of em included. Were you happy with the results and the ride as compared to stock?
I am happy with them.
I wanted a leveling kit and Bilstein shocks.... I was shopping for both when I stumbled upon the Bilstein Kit. Worked out great !!
