I pulled the trigger and got the ingot silver/and charcoal gray. I have had silver on my other 99 ford and it's been a great paint job and no fading and it is outside all the time. I got the F 350 lariat with most of the bells and whistles that I thought I couldn't live without!
Thanks for your help and will post pics in about 2 months when it arrives...
    Thanks for your help,

ok, its just the wife and me! plus two large dogs. I wanted the Kodiac Brown but when I saw it, it was almost black! I live in west texas and it's hot enough. I have now a super cab, the short door one in silver. I then said I liked the bronze color, great, guy called back and says it's only for F 150 and small SUV's!. I went last nite to a dealer and saw the expensive pearl white truck, extra money for that color. Sort of liked it, the Ingot silver was ok, other wise choices are red, green, blue, plain white and black. As for 4x4 I really haven't been anywhere where I need it. I have had my truck since 99 and never needed it. When I was younger I used to hunt and fish and go places that a normal truck couldn't go, so I needed it.
I am going to another dealer tues and talk with the owner, he is a kid i used to coach and has treated me very well over the years.
so, there you have, lemme know.
    Thanks for the help...

Just read your post. Asking for some info. I am thinking of pulling the trigger on a 13 F 350 4x2 lariat. Almost all the options except 4x4. Color is really the only thing holding me back! Another thing is I can ONLY get 3:31 gears. Its going to be a long bed, super cab. He is throwing in a bed liner as i will have a cover for it always on except when I tow.
He quoted me 49112.00 plus ttl. I will order this truck and he said it's fleet price and is tagging it on to someone else's order, usually done for friends he said. Does this sound like a good price. MSRP was close to 58k
    Thanks for any help

Hey D, I have 40,000 miles (60,000 km) on my truck now. I deleted at 3,000 miles (5,000 km) in Dec 2010. I was not planning on doing it so soon but my truck was in the shop 20 days total in the 3 months prior with CEL, limp mode and all that crap. It was either that or get rid of it at that point. No issues since and loving the truck. Thanks

That's a tough one buddy.... I know Andy changed some components of the kit and it worked out great for him. I do not know enough about it to do that. The king shocks that come with the carli system are valved by carli to work with their system, the weight of the truck etc etc. In my opinion, the valving of the shock to match the application is as important as the shock itself. I know the fox 2.0 and bilstein 7100 are both good shocks but not sure how they will work on different lifts / suspension. That is why I stuck with the carli system, they design it all to work together (same as ICON). Hope this helps!

The dealer is limited to the law...the tpms will stay on...unless you get a programmer. I would stick with the Bilsteins.Try Cary at CT Performance...he is the SuperDuty Guru!

I love the way this thing rides! Rides more like a Lincoln LOL! I have lifted many vehicles and this is the only one that rode better fact much better. The tpms drives me crazy because I'm only running 45lbs in my Nittos but even at 65lbs the ride was nice. I crank them back up to 65-70 while towing. I would like to get out and drive Darren's or Steve's(SGT93) trucks to get a feel for the Carli in comparison. I don't think you'll be disappointed in the ICON, just be sure you get Bilstein shocks and stabilizer.

Its good if your towing alot, lets you moniter the trucks systems way more indepth, for me I'm not towing heavy yet, only like 3k so I'm not too worried. So for me at the moment I wouldn't buy one. Having said that, yes it does read and clear codes, I've had two cel so far with my 6.7, so it wouldn't be a bad thing for me to own.

Hi D, There is no sag when unloaded. It is pretty much perfectly level. Yes it is the pintop king 2.5 that I have. I really like the system, it performs great. My king shocks are however away right now getting fixed. Whatever system you get I would recomment putting boots on the shocks. They are blaming the blown seals on pitted shafts from rocks. amecelectric has (I think) the ICON stage 3 4.5 with a few modifications so he shoudl be able to give you and opinion on that. sgt93 has the same carli as me and he will share thought (both great guys). sgt93 may be a bit grumpy cuz he just belw his turbo the other day! I DEFINATELY recommend the carli, I love it but I have never been in a truck with the Icon so I can't compare the 2. Congrats on your new truck!!!!!!

Darren I appreciate your honesty, thats why I asked you your thoughts. I plan on keeping this truck for a long time also. Think I will wait for the warranty to run out before I tune my truck. Im not gonna be running it hard anyways. Not gonna beat the truck all to hell either. Its gonna be a sweet ride once Im done with it.

    Thanks again
