Need your opinion. I just bought an all white bronco 1993 and was wondering how would blacked out head lights and tail lights would look on it. Do you guys have any broncos like that i could see to use as a reference
Sorry to tell you but I also agree that it would cause it to be too dark. I had oxidized headlights because I can't park my truck in a garage and they started to become very dim where sometimes I would second guess myself to see if I turned the lights on. I replaced them with new healight housing ("crystal style" which is more 'see through' then the OEM style) and it made a tremendous difference, they now seem very bright. But, if you were to darken them, I would think they would be much worse then oxidized lights...
However, you could upgrade your lighting system to have more powerful light bulbs, then get blacked out lights, but that can get quite expensive and you need to make sure to upgrade the wiring and possibly fuses too if you go that route...
Upgrade your headlight harness first if you do. You can get a plug-in harness for like $40 that has relays and takes the load off your switch. Offers much less resistance so more juice gets to your bulbs. Then you can run brighter bulbs and not worry about overloading the switch or wiring.

And if the higher amperage circuit to drive the brighter lamps blows a fuse or the relay fails you are stranded on the side of the road at night, possibly in the rain with no means of recovering your forward lighting. There is a good reason you won't find a fuse in the block for the headlamps. Keep the OEM headlamp circuit and add supplemental lighting if you are worried about the amount of light you are putting on the road ahead of you.
Is the OP asking about black "projector" style headlights or the cover that goes over the healights or "nightshading" the OEM headlights?
The aftermarket projector style would look alright if thats your thing, light output will be roughly same as factory give/take.
The actual black covers look decent if they tie in with other vehicle elements. I have a friend that runs them on his Mustang, however he takes them off at night. They simply clip/slide on to the OEM lights. They severely diminish light output (basically wearing sunglasses at night...to drive)
Nightshading is a process which the OEM lights are pinted with a "tinted" clearcoat basically to achieve a darker overall appearance of the factory lights. I have seen it done with some success but it is entirely based upon the owners skill level with paint/prep. I would never do this as it is not reversible and has a high failure (light no good) probability.
Just my .02.
I also have heard great things about the headlight harnesses that add relays to remove load off the switch and provide the full 12 volts to lights. This paired with a nice set of aftermarket lights should be a nice set-up with some more style.
