roof lights instal?

I got an 86 bronco for off roading and winter but I got a question bout roof lights.
Do any of u use HIDs in ur lights?
I got a friend with an 02 jimmy he put some 10in his from harbor freight on his truck, they are bright whick I like, but too bright in my opinion.
I bought some off road lights from a friend 6in I think I want to put on my bronco, right no I put some hid headlights on their but I'm thinking for the roof lights I might do the 2 outside lights hid then the 3 inside with some brighter watt kc bulbs. The only thing different is I want to wire each light up to its own switch so I can only turn a certain amounts of lights on. I know its a lot of wire but I think it would be better for me.

Just wondering what u guys think. Could I hook a switches up to one relay or should I use seperate?

My one friend did get pulled over for having a ll his lights on so know their is a certain amount of lights I can have on, he had his headlights hids, 2 fog lights, 2 bumper mounted hids, and his 4 roof mounted hids on, and it basically looked like daylight on the highway the cop said when he looked in his rear view mirror. I mostly plan on using mine for off roading.

Not sure about your state but here you cant have more than 4 lights on at any given time and when your using your high beams no other lights can be on.

So when your using your headlights on low you can use two 55w driving lights or fog lights.

As for good bright cheap light these pencil beam systems are awesome. Avaliable anywhere. Whether you buy it at walmart, auto parts stores, HF, or ebay they are all the same cheap light. I disassembled mine to paint once and they never fully seal again. Do youself a favor and dont mess with it they get moisure in the lense easy.

6" Off-Road Light System

my personal opinion on off road lights is if you can not see it with the stock headlights, you are driving too fast for the conditions.

so i don't use them.

You dont sound like you have done much night wheeling.

I have lots of lights on my Jeep but I used to night wheel it all the time. I always led because of my lights lol

way more night wheeling than i can remember over the past 40 years. and yes, i was once young and dumb too.

but after you hit a few trees because you are going faster than your 8 dick cepek lights on the overhead and bumper bar, you learn to slow down.

my add on lights now face back so i can see when backing up at night.

The places I go I don't go over 15mph at night like you say u don't know what u might hit, yeah my state WI is only 4 lights on, like I said I don't plan on using ten on city streets, maybe more of the back roads outside of town,
