Tugly, that mileage is excellent. I've read the link in your sig and I'm slowly creeping up, 15 highway after replacing ebps with faulty readings. Anyway I've noticed in your pic, speedo at 65 your around 1900 rpm. I'm at 2100 @ 65 with 4.11 gear. I'm guessing you have a taller gear attributing to better mileage?

NOT but is there a way to tell the gears in the rear per say? I thought I read it how to tell but due to short term memory loss I forgot. I am running much less at 65 but have huge tires which does change ratio. I do know that my speedo is 3-4 MPH slow to the real time gps.

If I recall right there should be a tag on the rear diff that has numbers stamped in it. Get those numbers off and they translate to ratio and a couple other things.

Tag on the Differential, or you may have it under "Axle Code" on the build sticker in the driver's side door jam.

I looked on the differential some time back and it said I have 3.73, but I can't remember how it was marked to know that.

Rear tag should have 3L73 meaning 3.73 ratio with limited slip. If no LS I believe there is only a space. If there is no tag on the rear, the calculator will get you close enough, otherwise, the tag was removed and you really wont know except to open it up.

With my 37" and 3.73 gear I am running 1750RPM at 68MPH per the GPS, 65 per calculation.

Here's a link to the calculator: Interactive RPM and MPH Computator Program

The effective gear ration for our 4R100 in OD is 0.80.

I know on the door tag under Axle it has nothing. I will check on rear axle today. I think I found the tag just to the right of the pumpkin from the rear of truck but someone painted over it.

This truck has aftermarket covers by Mag-something. Rear Diff, trans and the oil pan. Nice items and the rear has a dipstick but no dog tag to be seen. Same here, I need to learn how to insert pics as well.
