ATS turbo reseal kit.

Hey all,

I picked up a turbo reseal kit from Russ. I thought I would post a pic. of what you get with it, as well as ask what a few of them are for. Here is what i got in the kit, and the ones I already know are identified.

I know that kit is for several different ATS turbos so maybe I won't use all of them, but if anyone knows what the un-identified parts are for, it might help myself and others. My turbo was recently replaced, so I am not doing any further dis-assembly, so I will only need ones I have already identified anyway.

If you are interested in a kit ($55 shipped), you can get a hold of Russ (username typefour on here)

Thanks in advance,

Mac.

I recently got the same kit from Russ. 2 is for the intake side of the turbo into intake, 3 & 4 are for the turbo pedestal. Have know idea about the others. I know about 2,3 & 4 because I had to pull my turbo and reseal all these.

Wait isn't 3 the o-ring to seal the CDR block off on the intake manifold? I don't have my turbo here, but it looks like the only one that will fit there. Is that what you are referring to as the "Pedestal"?

It all makes sense now LOL!

when Russ rebuilt my turbo he sent back some of the o rings you have pictured. one of them i did not know were it went. i think part of the turbo pedestal goes into the hole in the intake were the CDR would go on an N/A engine. since i took my turbo off without taking the pedestal off or loosening it i had no need for that extra o-ring and did not know where it went b/c all others were accounted for.

Yeah 94, It doesn't actually go into the intake manifold, it is just a block off plate to seal the hole in the intake manifold, the o-ring makes the seal, and the pedestal goes into the valley pan and bolts to the intake manifold with the two threaded holes that use to bolt on the CDR bracket. I can tell anyone doing the valley pan/intake manifold, that the Fel-pro gasket kit does not include the proper grommet to seal the turbo pedestal. It is #5 in the picture above.

Right on kla,

I spaced on #2 when I did the picture, I remember seeing it in the snail hat now.

so it looks like just 7 and 8 are in question now. 7 is a grommet, and 8 is a piece of hose of some sort. I'll look at my parts tomorrow if we don't figure it out.

7 goes from the cdr to the metal tube and 8 tube to air filter hsg.

Oh and they are only 093 parts. unless they happen to fit some others. IDK

Cool,

Thanks Russ,

I'll update the pic and get it back up so everyone knows whats included.

Could it be that the factory 093 doesn't use 7 or 8? I don't remember seeing anything like that. I don't have the truck here. I'll check it out tomorrow and update.

I have seen 2 different setups for the tube that runs from the cdr to the intake. One was a molded rubber hose, and one was a steel tube that uses #7 and #8. The molded ruber hose does not use them.

I just got a kit from Russ too!

I have tried to follow what was said, and listed it on the cardboard.. please let me know if I got it all correctly or need to change anything.

I also thought I would give you a few more puzzle piece to work on..pieces 9a and 9b look like duplicates (one is turned on-edge..)and piece 10 is smaller than piece 9..

Any ideas/comments?

My kit did not come wit 9 a or b or 10 so I cant help you out there, but I can tell you that there was not a piece of rubber untouched on my recent build. so I did not need them. I also I did not use 7 or 8 in my kit though so obviously, all 093's are not the same.
