I have not been in this forum area in a while, but wanted to say thanks to the group for the information that is contained in these threads. I got the wife a 2005 6.0 excursion 2 years ago and have really fell in love with it. So after 11 years of driving my faithful 1996 7.3 powerstroke, yesterday I bought a 2006 F350 6.0 . It still has not set in just yet (feels like I'm driving a rental). Anyway, I guess this is part of my 12 step program for letting my old truck go is to admit I cheated on it a got a new one in a public forum
I am selling it and all the spare parts that I have collected for it (LOTS), the truck is listed in the classified section of this site and in the Dallas Fort Worth craigslist. The parts I still have to get a complete list together and then post them.
Which you were closer. I'd buy your truck in a heartbeat.
I love my 6.0l but my grandpa put it through the ringer before I got it and it's not happy... Im sure you'll be in love soon. First time you get to pull someone out with those big nasty tow hooks
well tomarow is the "big day" as I am going to hook my boat to the new truck and see what happens.... my 96 pulled like it was nothin (after the manual tranny conversion) so we will see about the 6.0 and torque shift 5. Luckly if I am not impressed I still have old faithful waitin on standby. who knows after tomarow I may have a differrent truck for sale lol
Im no one to talk on the subject of keeping a vehicle forever....but i had a 96 250 7 years ago.loved it.had an incident with a deer and then a botched body shop repair...got frustrated and got rid of it...regretted it as soon as the ink was dry. It took me 7 years to get another obs worth buying....
it is always sad letting an old friend go...hope you enjoy wich ever you end up with!

I am sure the new truck will do just fine. The 6.0 makes good power and the newer chassis is a little softer.

Will we see an advanced screening of the list? I live about 30 minutes north of Ft Worth and can put an extra set of eyeballs on any parts someone here is interested it.

Sorry for the delay, I finally got a list together of all the parts still sitting around in my garage, after giving close friends and family first dibs on anything they wanted. If anyone is interested in it I can email it to you, just pm me your email address.
