Just wanted to thank everyone who have helped me learn the 6.0 powerstroke. After purchasing a large slide in camper we needed to upgrade to a dually.
We looking at a LOT of trucks and could not find a 2005 to 2007 DRW that we liked that wasn't $25,000. I found a 2011 F450 KR for $33500. It just made more sense to go newer and get better interest and terms on the loan. In addition it has the factory nav, Bluetooth, heated/cooled sets, remote start and all the other goodies, and the supplemental cabin heater (it REALLY nice on a cold morning
So now I am learning all about the 6.7. Like all things on the internet it take a while to get thought all the BS, misinformation, and rumors.
Again, Thanks to all the good people here, I have learned a lot and had a lot of fun getting to know the 6.0.
I do have some spare parts for my 2006. OEM water pump and thermostat BNIB, and the IPR tester that I wont need now if anyone is interested.
You guys will be back -- just ask Mike -- there's just not much going on in the 6.7 forum. Well, other than you can talk about how big of a trailer you tow...
Congrats to both of you! Have 3 friends with 6.7s and they all love 'em. One has a '14 KR and it is really nice with all the comfort options for the rear passengers, and they all have amazing power...

You're right...not much goes on over there
I will still participate on the 6.0 forum when I can
Thanks for all the well wishes! Says a lot about the kind of people here.
There are a ton of things I like about the new truck. Probably #1 is the wide front axle with the tight turning radius. I can now finally back up my dumptrailer. The other trucks I could not turn quick enough to correct the trailer once it started turning.
The one thing I DONT like is the heated and cooled seats. No more heating element in the seat bottom. Don't know all the details on how they work but it takes more than 15 min before they START getting WARM. But the instant cabin heat makes up for it.

My friend's '14 has butt heat, even in back...? Maybe it isn't working right?
from what I can tell it is working right. Does your friends truck have cooled seats also? Looks like they us the same device to heat AND cool the seats

The fronts cool, I don't think the backs do -- she's out of town, let me ask my friend with the '15 -- want to make sure I'm not steering you off course...
On my '14, I have heated and cooled front seats controlled via the touch screen. Back seat heat was an option that mine didn't come with. Those are operated by a switch on the door of the back seat.
