will it hurt anything

iv e searched and searched.i did a diy intake the other night and now when im on the throttle hard and let off i hear the whoosh sound.im sure it was doing it with the stock box also.it just wasnt loud.i know its a common noise from all the older posts but now thats its been years my question is does it hurt the turbo or anything?that is one thing i couldnt find.
thanks for any input.

That WOOSH sound is the air flowing back out of the filter when boost demand goes away. Its normal.

thanks just wanted to make sure it didnt cause any harm.i can definately hear the turbo more.

Its normal, when you lift the throttle the motor is suddenly not injesting as much air, but the turbo is still compressing it. So it barks the turbo and comes out the intake.

Light barking is not harmful and nothing to worry about, but going from 45psi to 0 in a second can break shafts...

well im all stock except exhaust and intake so 45 i dont thinks gonna happen.my next investment will be guages though.
