Well I think I am getting closer I got the pump and installed it. But I still seem to have a no fuel situation. I pulled the fuel filter and it fills with the key turned. But when I turn the motor over I get no white smoke and no fuel smell. I am still missing the ebpv sensor and the air intake heater but everything else seems to be complete and working. Any ideas out there on what could cause this?
It also seems as though it is turning over a bit slow. Both batteries test good. just to be safe I hooked a truck and a pair of jumper cables to each battery and that seemed to help it crank a bit better still sounds slow to me and still no smoke...
What pump did you get?? You need a good 10.5 V for cranking. 500psi icp pressure for the injectors to fire and 40-50 psi fuel pressure. Does your scanner read icp

With all the parts that were missing, do you have a CPS installed, and an IDM? If this truck was torn apart for parts, those would be some that are quickly gone IMO.
Hey BigAls that was a great catch. It was missing the cps... This truck has certainly been a learning experience. Luckily Autozone had one in stock and after installing it and cranking for about 5 minutes it fired up and sounded fine. Couple minutes later it had blown all the smoke out and I noticed it had dumped probably 2 quarts of oil on the ground. Its to dark now to see what is missing / unhooked its definitely behind the motor and I am thinking it is a line to the turbo. Thanks for all your help guys. This has been a lot of fun.

Easy enough, glad it was simple.
As for the oil...Any and all oil leaks atop the motor will drain into the valley and there is a drain that will look like the leak is at the bell housing.
Check the valley first. There are really no "lines" per say to the turbo, but the turbo mounts to the pedestal with "lines" inside it, sealed with o-rings. I'm sure you'll find your leak though.
