Small door will not open

I think the cable that goes to the top latgh is broken, how do I get to it to fix it?

Some times mine does this and the only way I can get it to open is to pull the handle and at the same time push on the out side of the door then pull on the door to open it. To get to the top latch assembly iirc you have to pull the door panel off there is 2 screws one behind the lamp lense and one by the handle you have to take loose the vent window latch then with the palm of one hand hit up in the bottom of the top of the window frame and at the same time pull up on the bottom of the door panel. Mine I had to get a little western with it but was still careful not to be to rough as not to damage the door panel
