Vacuum Leak ?
Hi. on a 1997 F150 4x4, 5.4L.
when accelerating, the air-conditioner quits blowing, or starts blowing thru the defroster. I'm pretty sure it's a vacuum leak somewhere, but I need someone to point me in the right direction, to start looking. What should I check out first ?

Vacuum Leak ?
Sounds like your vacuum canister is not holding. Could be a line off of it. I am not exactly sure where it is located on your truck. Alot of them are in the fenderwell these days.

Hey man, I kinda had the same problem a couple of months ago. Only my AC would blow out of the defroster all the time. I didn't fix it myself, but the guys at the shop said it was a vaccum leak and they fixed it. I know that doesn't really help you, but I thought I'd throw my two cents in.
