I have a 06 f250 6.0 turbo diesel. When i take off it takes a few secs before it kicks in and takes off it isnt a big problem but it is causing me slower starts. It is stock with an edge but i didnt know why or if there was anyway to eliminate this couple seconds.

Rolling into the throttle is the best way to deal with the lag. Probably not going to be what you want to hear, but it is.
You can compensate a little bit with a hotter tune that overfuels it alot, but I wouldn't use the Edge to do that.

Some turbo lag is normal with the vgt, however it is not stock if it has an Edge. Edge is enough to lose a warranty.
I had the same problem, sometimes it was downright scary, I will check with my service tech on what they did but I believe they only updated the computer. It runs like a champ now. (06 F250 PSD CC Lariat)
