Guys...coming back from river last night, and if you knowthe hill, its where you merge onto the I40 from River rd, its a 20mile hill climb. Was banging in 5th gear or 4th if you dont count L gear as 1st, and toward the top, started hearing what seemed to be a slight screching sound. First thought was wheel grinding on compressor housing. Would let off throotle, seemed the sound would deminish. Anyway, got home without the sound again, since rest of trip (280miles), hills are just rollovers. Checked out wheel, no marks, looked around for soot, nothing...etc
First time since installing clutch assy, that i towed with some weight to it (boat about 4k). I no thats nothing in weight, but at 110* out, not sure if the clutch may have had a hiccup there or what. Was thinking, this weekend, i have the FELPRO gaskets, to go ahead and install them along with my new HPOP lines...etc, but really, just wondering if this screech sound is another sound of boost leak? Boost gauge, with red line unhooked, only reads 15psi at most, never trips a CEL light...boost #'s been that way for over a year now....any ideas/info...thanks ahead of time.
