Hello all, I have searched for some suggestions about my issue and it seems like I have it solved....
ISSUE: (a) When driving the steering seems to wander and it doesn't track straight all the time - no issue when braking (b) When I hit a pot hole, or bump in the road it "jumps" around and is VERY loose
SOLUTION: Seems as if the ball joints are loose, and draglink maybe, I can move the wheels quite easily and I think this is diagnosed properly - thanks to other threads on here I did some self diagnosis
SO - I want to replace the ball joints, tie rods, and the draglink. XRF seems to be the solution for me, and the one a few folks have used. I found this on eBay XRF Upper Lower Ball Joint Drag Link Tie Rod F250 99-04 | eBay and the seller said it will work for the Excursion 6.0PSD as well.
Are there any alternatives that are better - as a kit? Or not as a kit?
Unless you are rock climbing (VERY doubtful with a Excursion) or you have rather large tires, you don't need a dual stabilizer. A dual will only partially mask a wander problem coming from another component.
