Dead battery left me stranded!

I put my older optima's in the truck before I drove it off the lot. They have been through 4 trucks and never let me down (I know the day is comming). The battery in my '10 E 350 was leaking after 15000 mi. and was replaced by an optima. One of the batterys in my '11 F 350 was leaking when I pulled it out new. The batterys worked but I was not a fan of leaking acid. From what I have read the optima battery has been bought by johnson controls and is a little cheaper made now but I love my older ones.
