Hey, I'm new. I was basically given,(for a nominal fee) my neighbors 1965 F250 4x4 long bed. It ran but had an electrical fire in the engine cpt. and sounded like someone had dumped a bag of marbles in the top end. It's my first Ford and I took it because it's unique. I'm not sure if the body was placed on a 72 frame, or if the running gear out of a 72 F250 was frankenstined onto this truck. It has a 390 I just built with adjustable rockers, lemans rods and a forged crank. Stock Ford aluminum intake and a Holley 780 cfm. I can't tell you the cam specs, but its a nice engine with less than an hour on it. 4 speed manual tranny, Dana 44 rear and factory locker front gears. I put in a painless wiring harness, redid the interior etc. It came with power disc brakes and power steering. It needs exhaust and paint and body to finish it, but by no means looks bad. It's very straight and has no rust to speak of. Floorboards are solid. I had to put it on a consignment lot in n Idaho because we had to move on short notice. After a year and no reasonable offers, I'm having it shipped, to my new home so I can continue to work on it.

Reason: left out stuff
I'd like to post a pic of it, but can't figure out how. It says I can't post attachments so I guess I'm S.O.L. There's lots I would like to do to it. Maybe a 5 speed manual transmission to start. Anyway, greetings
Welcome to the site, You will need a few more post before you can post pictures. Sounds like you got a nice truck, would like to see the pictures. Where you shipping it to?

Thanks for the welcome. I'll be shipping it to the CA bay area. Not looking forward to paying the reg fees, but I am looking forward to getting back to restoring it. I've been fortunate so far that the parts I have needed have been readily available through LMC Trucks. I forgot to mention that it is a long bed and I'm only the 3rd owner.
Where at in the Bay area? I grew up down there. Moved up to Oregon in the 70's.

I grew up in San Mateo, spent the majority of my adult life in Santa Cruz. After 6 years in Coeur D'Alene Idaho we just moved to a small town in the east bay I'd never heard of called Port Costa. Right next to Crockett.

Welcome back to Ca, they just stuck me for $174 on the 62
Thanks for the welcome. Yeah I'm guessing somewhere around $300 to reg it. I forgot to mention as well when listing the specs hat the block is a GT block out of a 67 Fairlane, and I'm running a solid lifter cam in it. I just don't have the specs handy. Sounds neat
The 67 GT engine is a very good block, I am running the same engine in my 66 F100 4x4. Mine is still in it's shock condition though. What exhaust are you using, manifolds or headers?
Back in the 70's when I was in the Navy, I sent my wife a 64 ford to Antioch Ca. and when she went to reg. it, she remembered me saying it was not worth $50, so that is what she say it was worth to DMV when they asked the value and tax her on $50. lol
Thanks to Arctic Y Block for the tutorial. I hope this works. The box in the bed housed a second fuel tank which I got rid of. I can put one under the bed if I want to, just don't know where to take this project. It had headers on it that I glass beaded and reused. Unknown make. Everything from the headers back will be replaced.
