OH CR_P!!

I was installing a home made idle controller and testing it when I heard a pop, then the truck died. No wait to start light. Will crank but wont start. All fuses checked out OK, relays are good but #30 & #31 only getting about 6.5-7 volts. I checked the fuel bowl heater to find that the heater wire was infact broke but was not shorted any where, and the fuse was not blown. Checked the only fuseable link I know of at the coil, it appears to be OK. Is my PCM fried? Worse yet, do you think I fried my ECM? Anyone have any suggestions? Need help!!

You have an IDM...PCM and GEM...

There is no ECM.

Sounds like a possable PCM issue.

Have anyway to try and make contact with the PCM? Data logger or like?

How does your homemade idle controller work? I would start by checking for electrical problems with whatever it was connected to.

BTW, Ford makes an auxiliary PCM that controls idle speed and protects battery voltage.

i think there are a couple fusible links off starter lug but someone else may have a better answer on that.

Fuses don't usually "pop"... at least not audibly. The throttle pot goes directly to the PCM. This doesn't sound good.
