Timing chain expected life
I am the new owner of a 98 Expedition with the 4.6 engine.
It has 215,000 miles on the clock and starts and runs fine.
What is the expected life of the valve train drive components?
I expect that it is way past when the drive parts should have been replaced.
Where any of the 4.6 SOC single overhead cam engines have VVT Variable Valve timing?
I have seen very few engine with chain drive systems that made it this far!
