SCT tuner throwing codes?
OK, over my vacation last week I ran across this issue. I have the SCT tuner from 5star, had it sot on tow mode to tow my TT. Part way through the week the check engine light came on. No gauges showed any abnormalities and runnability was fine, just the light. Stopped and returned to stock. Light gone. Tried the performance tune while not towing, threw a check engine light again
. Stopped and again returned to stock, no light for the remainder of the trip, even towing! Anyone have any ideas? Hate to think of not using the SCT tuner as I like what it does, especially towing.

Do you know what code it is you are getting? I am only asking because I have a Livewire and when I put it into the canned tunes for towing or the street tune I was getting a CEL on my 6.0 Ex. I can not remember what code it was, but when I emailed SCT they told me to update the software.
Once I updated my software from SCT it still did it. I ended up getting a custom tune and have not had an issue since.

You can check, they might still be present. But it they aren't, just put the tune back on and when the SES light activates, scan for the codes.
I guess I'm a little perplexed why you didn't pull the codes when the light first activated. That's the first thing you should do.
