To dirty diesel would the powerstroke manifolds work on the idi giving the exhaust a short distance to a turbo? If they would your dragster would be easier to plum the exhaust to the turbo like in the pictures with that inline pump

PSD manifolds will not work on an idi.

Has anybody actually tried a PSD manifold to see if they will work?? All I've ever heard is that they won't, but the pattern looks to be the same, and its not like they are terribly different engines... I'm betting that they would work with a little modification at the very worst, provided there isn't any major obstructions, like the backside of the head or something...

PSD exhaust manifolds are longer across the bolt pattern and will not fit an IDI.

Maybe need to make separate tubular intake manifolds for each bank to clear that long pump. Or will the factory manifold fit it? The tubular manifolds would have to meet closer to the rear of the engine...

The stock manifold will not fit, its going to have to be all custom similar to the Hypermax...

If I was Brandon, I would do two separate plenums, both with v-band fittings on the front, and then wye into the charge pipe up front.... It would look super clean, and provide a more even balance between the banks... Much like the duramax banks big hoss stuff...

Would either have to be a high or small "y" to clear the front of the engine unless using e-fans/smaller shroud. I suppose a rear-common intake would use up valuble turbo room. I always thought of doing parallel twins with separate charge pipes (from the intercooler) to individual top-fed intakes.

Yeah, like that. Are you going to intercool or go higher boost with water/meth injection? Less lag with non-intercooled, but with a drag truck I can't imagine that being a huge concern seeing how you'll probably be doing boosted launches anyway...

Yes, much like that...

Also you could run a big W/A IC, and run it into an Ice box... Thats what I would do... As well as pump the Water/Meth/Nitrous into it....

Also, you can just mount the radiator in the bed... Easy as pie...

Well, if we're going to start mounting stuff in the bed, there's plenty of room for a 12V-92 back there..... Just sayin.... The idi could still run the a/c and power steering.
