Well, if we're going to start mounting stuff in the bed, there's plenty of room for a 12V-92 back there..... Just sayin.... The idi could still run the a/c and power steering.
that is funny right there LOL
i think elite diesel's 6.4L PSD drag truck has it's TINY engine coolant rad in the bed.
Ya it is definitely a badass project and both the Hypermax and the PSD intakes are cool looking on those engines. I vote for the air-to-water IC also. Those are definitely the best intercoolers for drag racing. And definitely need the w/m too...
No the barrels add no timing. The only thing rotating them does is put them at full fuel. See when they bench these things they match all the barrels to the same amount of flow and normally dont max them out unless asked. Its a crude way to max out your pump fully without benching it. The risk on doing it to a dd is you have no way to know if one cylinder may be flowing more than the rest that are rotated meaning a possible hotter cylinder possible meltdown. Most guys have had no problems but a few have done it and had some idle issues or trouble with a lope and getting it to go away. But on a racer i would for shure do it why not couldnt hurt. And has anybody seen anything about the diesel power idi i saw something in a magazine iirc where they were going to do twins and spray the snot out of it and see what it would do ?
Ok I understand now. Another thing about the uneven fuel flow would not only be the heat issue but also the uneven load in the engine. That uneven load over a period of time could severly shorten engine life. That is a strong possibilty.
As for Project 300, I hadn't heard that. I look forward to seeing it done then...
Hello, joined just so i could reply to this, LOL. I see that pump does not have a governor on it. So what governor do you plan on running on it? One off a regular 12-valve p-pump?? Do you know exactly what governor it requires? Thanks
Hello, again. I tried to send you a private message, couldnt, probably havent posted here enough. Anyway, I am trying to get some info on this also, slightly different app, but youll still enjoy it. Either PM me on here, or send me an email at sks72107 at hotmail dot com. Ive got an interesting story to tell you about your pump. You may hate me for it though, lol.
