Well, I don't think its supposed to be a secret? I hope not at least, because I think I've mentioned it a couple times in different threads already.

Honestly Marv, the badge was dropped on us by IB. I had a member PM me asking why I had the badge and I had no clue what the heck he was talking about. It wasn't until after I left my PM inbox window and went to a thread, saw a post I had made, and then understood what he was talking about.

A moderator of a completely different forum mentioned it frequently at first. That's where I got it from.

Absolutely. I am WELL-aware that it's not the FTE moderators that had anything to do with this at all. This is IB's brainchild. I just wonder what their logic is here. To gain them more money? Over a three-year span, the longer-term payers give them only TWO CENTS more.

I would even question the validity of the larger avatar as really being an appropriate perquisite, but that might be just petty.

Tell me it costs them more in staffing to remind me more frequently. I might believe it if it weren't just done in software.

Does paying them for longer periods REALLY show more loyalty to IB? Is that it?

Captains of Industry sometimes do dumb things. My opinion is that this is one of those times.

Maybe it's the more frequent per-transaction PayPal fees that are getting to the bean-counters in their midst.

Stranger things have happened............

thanks

I paid last week. Filled out the form a couple of days later. No changes to my account seem to have taken place, as well as the "supporter" tag not showing up.

Sorry to be a pest....What is the difference between the "Supporter" tag and the "Club FTE" tag?

Also as a paying member I was under the impression that you could change your user name. Can you tell me how to do this. I just wanted to make it uniform with my name on all the other forums that I belong to.

Thank you very much.

Keith

P.S. I received my shirt and Lanyard. Thank you!!

Three year paid membership versus one year.

I'll send you a PM

You'll likely be sent a P/M with instructions.

I was, a couple of days later.
