Hey guys in the middle of the blue spring mod... Tried o pull the ful line and placed a wrench on the brass nut. Trying to loosen twisted and kinked the fuel line. Got it twisted back and didn't completely kink the line. Am I not going to have enough fuel flow to run the vehicle correctly?
So if I can't get that brass fitting seperated I am assuming I don't need the green o ring?
I installed the cover plate the small plastic piece towards the top, tan o ring on the brass into the cover plate. Mine is just the black plastic with the spring is what I pulled out.
Yeah i tried and couldn't get the wrench on the one closest to the cover all the way and the other torqued it.
Is that an easy line to change? I haven't chased it yet. Do they sell it pre bent?
Also, since you're online I am getting done with an injector and placing the FICM back. I have a plate that I assumed went on the back to hold the two bolts. I for the life of me can't remember what went on the studs towards the front of the truck to hold the FICM to the brackets.
It's been a long couple days, Up Pipe, #6 injector, Blue Spring, Now this fuel line and my power streering pump to go! Hoping I would have gotten it done tonight.
I do feel for you. I have been there done that on other projects.
I almost did one today. Thought I destroyed the top EGR valve
gasket when I hit it with some air to blow away the fluff I just
removed. That is going on the not to do list for next time.
Any time you see 2 nuts you really need to put a wrench on both.
I have seen stainless bided hose get done it.
It happens. So long as you learn form it.
