ID this trailer brake controller

What do you think this is?
It came with the Excursion I bought. It has a Ford factory harness that looks to be connected to the controller.

Any thoughts?

If it's proportional, it might be ok. If it's a on/off type, it's junk.

You can find a used Tekonsha Prodigy for under $50 if you look a little.

That is a Hopkins Agility, google it for a PDF of instructions and wiring diagram. My used 2001 came with an older model of it. I believe its a proportional controller, I have not used mine yet.

To give you the best advise I could ever give if you intend on towing at all, I would toss that unit and spend it on the Tekonsha P3 and be done with it. I have towed three different trailers that are all different weights and sizes and I have never had so much control and its so dialed in with the different features theres no jerkyness on or off the brakes. Best money I spent in a long time. And no I have no ties to the brand lol.
