I have a (new to me) 2011 F150 and the flat 4 pin trailer connector is smaller than the flat 4 pin receiver on the truck. I haven't been able to find an adapter and I haven't been able to even find if there are two different sizes of flat 4 pin connectors! I'm new to this forum and wonder if I'm the only experiencing this? Thanks!

Mine has the 7 way RV, and the 4 way flat. I have used both and they fit and work fine with my standard size RV and 4 way plugs.
I would look at getting a new end for the trailer or making my own adapter with a fitting for both the truck and trailer tied together. This can be very helpful too if your trailer wires is a bit short...

have owned many 4-pin trailers over the years and have only ever seen 1 size of 4-pin plug...if someone sold you an oddball, cut it off and change it to the standard one would be best approach.
