Engine Codes

I tried to open the explanation of engine codes, but could not get it to open. Can anyone explain these codes to me?

PO 299 (might have been 289) - Turbo Underboost

PO 401 - EGR insufficient flow detected

PO 478 - Exhaust pressure control valve high

PO 488 - EGR throttle position control range/performance

No recent work, it does not feel very rough when I drive it. Getting about 12.5 mpg right now (city), and just bought it a month ago. Getting the valve cover gaskets replaced and the guy at the shop read off the codes for me. Not sure what system he used, but I have not had any engone lights come on either. To my knowledge there is not an EGR delete on it.

well being New truck (to you) you might not feel the Power Lose

If the truck is Stock then 12.5mpg is Down on MPG alittle IMO

Look into getting a ScanGaugeII

Im thinking the EBP sensor is Plugged or Bad but Need to check some things to verify

They tried to torque them first, but they were already to the specified torque. So they recommended to go ahead and change them. They are going to do the work there. They are replacing my ball joints as well to HD ones. The stock ones are shot.

I changed my BJ to MOOG and so far so GOOD

Depending on year Might be a Good Idea to change a couple other Seals while the Valve Covers are off

Is it an 05+????? those need the updated Seals
