intermitten problem at idle

this has been going on for a couple of weeks, sometimes at idle i am at about 900 rpms, other times it's normal 6oo or so, have had codes pulled , even when the engine light comes on it's not storing any!

Now even when the idle issue is going on it runs fine as i get into the accelerator , but i let off and it like lopes ?

not sure what to even look for at this point, anyone else has such issues , help please got a long trip coming would like to get it fixed!

i am having same issue, in park or neutra,l minus the engine light and the lope. i am thinking its ebp sensor or tranny selector. ive been at this for a year. three times my truck hasnt started when i turn the key. no crank no click, nothing. thats why im kind of thinking tranny selector (park/neutral switch) is funky. when im in park or neutral it thinks im still driving or something.

How is the ICP sensor? Any oil in it where the pigtail attaches? How does it run with the ICP disconnected?

IPR tinnerman nut tight?

Can you watch engine parameters with Torque or similar program and check for linear TPS voltages from idle to WOT?

How does ICP and IPR duty cycle look?

How does fuel pressure look under load?

Some ideas to check.

Engine light on, no codes; what scanner are you using? Many generic scanners won't pull codes with the 7.3.
