Trying to fix up a 1998 motorhome. Ford chassis V10, F53 I think. Have a dead short on battery lead that feeds the starter,alternator and voltage regulator(though I can,t get to the what I believe is the voltage regulator) I took the wire off the alternator which gave me a lesser short but still had one. Does a voltage regulator have a short with nothing attached? Am going to take the alternator to parts store to be checked but why would I still see a short? Runs my battery down.
