turbo cleaning question
I got a 07 turbo from someone and when I got it apart there was oil in and around the unison ring. Looked Like it just leaked when I tipped it upside down. Is there any way oil can get in there when you tip it one whay or another? There was no shaft play at all.

It seals under pressure from the turbo side I believe mine did the same thing when I took it apart If it still leaks there is seal kit available Tousley Ford has great price and are a sponsor just mention FTE for the discount

I was thinking of that as well. I went ahead and threw it on real quick and it works good. Not blowing any smoke.I think all is well other than an a exhaust leak around my turbo and y pipe.

leave your turbo loose and put some anti seize on the inside of the clamps, it will help them slide into position and they won't stick when you have tear into it again. Then tighten down the bolts to the turbo.
