Grill noise?
The culprit shows up right after starting the vehicle.
Here's a situation:
Coffee shop drive thru. I pull up to the speaker, everything is as it should be. I turn off the truck to order (Yes, they really like it if you turn off your diesel by the mic.). The truck is in neutral, foot on the brake. I restart and the loud vibration seems louder than the engine. If I just idle up to the window, it stays and I can hear it resonating off the side of the building. If I give it a shot of fuel, it stops and it is gone.
#2 Trying to find it.
The truck is sitting in my driveway. I start the engine, the vibration is there. It subsides and eventually disappears. Just quick enough that I can't make it to the front to check for its location.
I turn my wheel, left or right, just enough to create a resistance in the wheel, it comes back. I can't check from there. I let go of the steering wheel, it is gone.
I press deep on my brake pedal, it is back. Again, my arms and legs are not long enough to do this while checking the front.
Any of this playing out with the hood up, and there is no noise from anything. Sounds wonderful. The problem there is I think I would look rather silly going through a drive thru with my hood up.
Any of you have this issue? Know what to look for? Please help me. If you solve my problem, I promise that the next time at the coffee shop, I will think of you as I leave that rare tip.

could it be a screw missing from the bug shield ( if you have one ) and it's vibrating when there's any load on the engine
or a rubber spacer on the bottom of the grill where it slides down into place.
let us know if you ever find it.

Sounds simple enough. Why didn't I think of that. I'll give that a go when I get the chance.
