ICP/IPR question

Hello. My icp goes from 440psi to 490 rapidly while idling. But my ipr drops as I drive usually down to 9.4% starting at 10.5%. And I've been told average icp in idle is 650. Then someone else says no its 500. And ipr is supposed to be 10-12%. My question is would a sticking ipr cause lower icp and a drop off in ipr as I drive? And what are the actual average icp and ipr numbers for a stock truck?

ICP at idle should IMO be around 450psi or so with duty cycle of around 9% This can vary however based on tuning, HPOP, and injectors.

Do you have any oil in the ICP connector? How long has it been since an oil change, what kind of oil?

Never had any oil in the connector. I jumped the gun and switched it out because someone told me higher numbers for the icp. Just changed te oil only has 200 miles on it and always used rotella 15-40 with a motorcraft filter and I switched the fuel filter at the same time. And I read on another forum someone said the edge programs are horrible for the auto ford trans so I put mine to stock and left it. Do you know of that's true?

Something I forgot to ask. What's your opinion on the ebpv delete? I live in northern Indians right by the Michigan border. Noticed my ebpv leaking some oil onto the pedestal. I know it helps warm ups but how much does it honestly help?

Take a look at that last link in my signature, you'll find what you're looking for. I've heard all kinds of things about Edge that aren't good, but I have no direct experience. Did it come with the truck when you bought it?

The EBPV wouldn't get a lot of use other than quicker warmup in Michigan, but fast warmup is pretty freaking important there. Tuners use the EBPV for a "Snake Brake" in mountainous driving. I have the cold, mountains, and snowy roads - I wouldn't get rid of my EBPV for anything.

No when I bought the truck it was like the day it left the factory. The only part that had been changed was the cps recall. Ive done an exhaust and intake switch. I used the edge program for maybe a month and a half but now I'm only using it to monitor stuff. And I will just fix the ebpv. Thanks for the help guys. And I might make a small vid of some other little issues I have. Hissing from under te good with KOEO sounds like from the fpr and when I first start the truck rpms go up and down then go up maybe 100 rpms and settle. Maybe it's the cps? I'll look into it more.

I have had mine plugged, and unplugged, there has been no warm up time difference, it is still at the same intersection everytime on my way to work.

I agree. I live in Northern Iowa, if I forget to plug my truck in, in the winter it is a crap shoot if I can get it to start before the batteries run down or not. Once I get it started it usually takes a good 10-15 minutes before it is warmed up enough that it has enough power to move itself. I would not delete my EBPV (which sucks because I think it is leaking). I also kinda like the "Jet Engine" sound when its warming up.
