Oil overfill
hey guys
just changed my oil yesterday, did the usual procedure and added 15 quarts of oil back into the motor as well as filling the oil filter before installing. read way over on dipstick. the guy at the ford dealer said it wasn't a big deal and it would pump it all to the top. i let it idle for a little while and it still read over so i drained probably about a quart and let it idle again and it read in the lines. checked it today before i started it and it read over, so i drained it again and now its all good. my question is, if i did run the truck probably about 40 miles with it being over on oil and if it just idled being way over, is it a big problem??? thanks a lot
