I have a 93 f350 with the trubo engine init but the guy i bought it from told me he put a new engine init but i dont know if its the right engine iv been told its got the 6.9 and iv been told it has the 7.3 in it and this engine has so many proplums with it im just looking to put a differnt one in it. so dose any one know where i can get a good new or used 7.3 turbo engin thats not going to cast me like 4k-5k. any info will help.
I would watch junk yards, im currently looking for one as well. Ive found a couple, but theyre missing odds and ends, high miles, or just dont look very good, seems like theyre 400-600 around here.
Call all the salvage yards.. Or look on craigslist to find a truck you can take the motor out of and either keep it for your parts or resale it as a roller or with your motor in it
Not knowing What motor you have is the factor here. But rebuilding would be best off in my mind. Whats to say the used motor you put in your truck is going to be any better? If you have the money rebuild her and maybe resleave the engine and go for another 400,000 miles
well to just name afew its got a blown head gaskit. eats oil, has no power, trubo needs reseald sucks oil in to silinders, over heats, has a bad nock, IP is bad, oil pump is int working right, and a few other.
