Bought girlfriend a chevy ;|
I wanted to get her a Bronco. She said they were to big. Wanted to get her a Bronco II. Found one that was a good deal and it got sold on me. Went and looked at others they were in lousy shape. Found a blazer that was in really good shape and we made an offer and bought it. I am going back up (its 2hours from me) with my truck on thursday to haul it back down.
Lowdown on it:
1985 Chevrolet Blazer
194,000KMS
Body has very minimal rust, doors aren't rotted or anything (where I am from this is VERY rare for anything pre 1996 let alone 85)
it's carb'd which is something I prefer as I hate having to pull codes for anything I just rather adjust it till its right.
Has a 3" body lift and a reinforced floor because the added stress caused it to sag from the lift. 31x10.5" tires 2.8 engine power everything (all works) no stereo in dash at all (not a big deal) interior isn't in bad shape other then cracked dash pad just needs a REALLY good cleaning. and the tranny has been replaced with a junkyard model about 2 years ago before he took it off the road. Since he took it off the road he has just left in garage moving it in and out all the time (nothing is seized except maybe ebrake as I didn't test it becasue I didn't want ti getting seized and making picking it up more difficult)
Now anyway I just wanted to know if anyone on here new any good sites for these things other then the general 4x4 ones. My girlfriend is going to drive it daily and I am going to take it off roading on light trails with my friends that have jeeps on the weekends. Wet my taste enough for me to build a nice FORD 4x4.
Anyway if anyone knows of any resources let me know.
Thanks guys,
Chad
Here's a couple of Blazer boards you might try out:

Maybe I'll drop a 302 w/ 9" rear end in it lol. No but honestly I figure will give her a good vehicle to drive and a toy for the weekend once in a while.
Maybe she will get hooked on suv's and want a Big Bronco :-) We test drove one she said ti was to wide for her to be comfortable driving downtown to work ;/

Just cutting up hope things work out for you and the Ch ( coughing)..........
I know that if I sold my wife's Blazer , I'd end up in divorce court and sleeping in my Ford.

Oh, women. Got to love 'em despite their faults.
But seriously at least I got her a 4x4 she feels safe driving, and it shouldn't be to much to work to maintain. I just need to do more research on this body lift business because he said it started to sag and had to reinforce the floor when he did it, guess I should ask that in the 4x4 forum.
