5th wheel prep

What happens if I use the plug for the 5th wheel prep package to plug in my slide in camper ? Can I still use the rear plug for a trailer ?

Works great for me. I did have to make an extension for my truck camper and the supertruss has an extension on it for the trailer.

This was my plan to get an extension and just plug my camper into the plug in the bed. Then use the rear plug for a trailer. Just wondered if this would confuse the truck by having 2 things plugged in at once.

No confusion and all marker lights and turn signals work correctly as well as the battery charge circuit for the truck camper.

In essence you would be doing the same thing if you added lights to your trailer or to your truck camper. The circuits should be hot, but the power will be finite. There is a limit to how much power can be carried down wires to the rear, but folks pull trailers behind truck campers all the time and fifth wheel owners pull boat trailers without much trouble.
