Where can I get the plug for my trailer wiring harness. The plug recepticle that is on my 2006 SD (w/tow cmd) looks like it takes a special plug from the trailer.I do appreciate the help guys.
Thanks,Ron
it should have a standard 7-round and flat-4 recepticals. you shouldnt need to buy anything unless you have one of those old round-4 plugs then you will have to change the plug on the trailer. you can get the plugs at just about any autoparts store, even walmart has a good selection of trailer wiring stuff
OK I will do some shopping around. The plug on my truck is a 6 flat prongs with 2 flat radius prongs in the middle. If need be I will post up a pic of my plug for you guys to look at.
Ditto on Wal-Mart, automotive section near the trailer stuff.
I paid 8 bucks I think.
It's round, about 2 inches across X 3 inches long.
Pop the screw and it opens.
Don't forget to hook up the trailer brakes.
I read somewhere on here about a gray plug that needs to be hooked up near the glove compartment. Others here will be able to tell ya bout it or just do a quick search.
