Suspension Input

Alright guys, if you have been following some of my dumb noob questions, here goes hopefully the last one before this issue is fixed. Although I may be a noob at this truck, im not an idiot like the previous owner that thought 2 inch blocks in the front were a good idea. So thats what im here to discuss, and get info on.

Suspension is on a F250, SRW and it has oversized tires so I really cant let it back down to stock. So heres where I start asking questions since I dont have the couple grand to do the full suspension I want right now. The front leafs seem to be a little flat now due to these undersized blocks on there, so heres what im thinking.

Pro Comp Tires Pro Comp Leaf Spring - JCWhitney

They have these from a 2-4 inch setup, and then a 4-6 for the fronts. I imagine I will be at the lower side of this due to the 7.3 in it. And these are the questions for people with experience with it. I am on a budget hence why im trying to go cheap right now just to fix his mistake.

1. 2-4 setup, I should be sitting right about where I am now with the 2 inch blocks in the front right?

2. 4-6 setup, If I do this is it a must to do shocks with it, or will the stocks work for now?

3. 4-6 setup, If I can do this without the shocks, is there anything else that I will have to do to pull this off? Pitman arms, ect, whatever the full lift kits come with. (I have no idea what most of the stuff is)

4. 4-6 setup, If I can pull this off for cheap, the front will be higher than the rear, so cheapest on the rear is blocks. Where do I get some cheap blocks that are the 3 inch wide ones?

This is what im working with at the moment. So any help will be appreciated. I did get told about the shackles or something for the front, but looking at the leafs on it, I think that will just be a tempory fix. Also looked at the add-a-leafs for the front to, but cant find anything above a 1.5-2.

Thank you.

If you are on a budget I would just replace the blocks with the 2-4 springs for now. If at some point down the road you want to go bigger then you can go with the bigger springs and do the pitman arm, brake lines, etc. And I would bet you can get most of your money back out of the springs down the road.

With that setup do I have to do none of the pitman arms, shocks, ect? Can I just bolt them up and be good? I think I may be more worried about how much of a variety they have in them, 2 inch difference is a lot. So if its closer 4 am I going to have to add things?

315x75x16 on stock wheels.

And I just talked to pro-comp, the leaf springs I posted on here they said are 2 inch. I dont know why JC Whitney has them listed as 2-4 inch.

You know, a lot of guys put on the stock X code springs. This rases the front end 1 1/2 inches. If 1/2 inch isn't going to hurt you, thats the way I would go. Tousley Ford is a sponsor and said to have the best price.

If you don't use your truck off road I would ditch all that stuff and throw a set of stock or a little bigger than stock tire on it. I bought a set of 315/75 two years ago and payed 1400 I think it was, that was the biggest snow tire I could find. If your looking to spend a little more now on tires and ditch the blocks you'll save more money down the road. You can always check CL
Side note... Try buying a set of my tires haha

I was thinking about that but my buisness and where I live, getting to some of my clients properties is a chore. I also have my 03 Dodge 5.9 cummins thats 2WD, and some of the properties I cant get on with that one. There is the point I bought this. I needed one, then when I bought it it was kinda of an impulse buy cause I was in a hurry. Hence why I didnt check everything out as I usually do, and stuck fixing what I need to. Do I need it with this size tires? Maybe. Do I want it like this? Yes.

And to the guy about the x springs. What is this? Just new leafs? Off of what? And in the future since there new springs can I just add the leaf packs to get a little more out of them?

Heres what I think is just confusing me. Reading rocky moutain suspension parts page on lift kits, each lift kit is claiming it holds different size tires. Some 4 inchs hold bigger than other, same with 6. And almost all the 2-2.5 leveling kits with the front leaf springs, or the spring packs are claiming you can go 33's. Well if the tire size calculator is right 315x75x16=34.6x12.4x16. So there saying 2 inches in front will not clear my tires. So does that mean there has to be something else on my front suspension thats not stock and lifting more? If so, I cant find it.

Thats where im getting confused.

Post pictures. But the X code springs are stock heavy duty spring that everybody says raises the front end 1 1/2 inches.
