Today while coming down the pikes peak hiway we were notified at a brake check point station that both break lights were out. Upon further inspection I realized that only the left brake light above the cargo doors was working. Does this sound like lights going on the blink a once, or a relay issue? We checked the brake on off switch fuse and it appeared to be good, any suggestions on what to look for at the camp ground.
Stopped at an auto parts store and replace two burned-out bulbs above the cargo doors. Brake lights still do not work. Replaced both brake lights. Have running lights and blinkers. When I got back to the campground, I hooked up to the camper in the camper doesn't have brake lights either. I'll look for a mechanic in the morning. Otherwise let's meet stuck in colorado springs for a while. Anyone have any ideas?
Turn signal switch... Check for buggered wires. I could make my brake lights work when this happened to me by moving the tilt steering. I had a wire shorting out...
Would the lights above the cargo doors light of this was the problem?
Advanced auto parts guys thought I may have a cut line.
I have no idea. Trying to decide between steelership and local guy a block from campground
Brought the X into a local garage. They said multiple switches failed. The one on the brake pedal was one another one. Don't remember what he called it. I"ll be about $400 into it with parts labor and diagnostic. Oh the fun of traveling with a travel trailer.
